Introduction
Brent is back at $90/bbl as US-Iran talks stall and the MOU lapses, pulling Asian refiners toward WTI, WAF and Black Sea. WTI Midland now lands about $7/bbl cheaper than Murban into the Far East and stays cheapest into NWE. US diesel inventories have plunged, and tight Gulf VLCC tonnage should keep lifting TD22 rates. Expect WTI spreads and ULSD cracks to strengthen into September.
"Overall, WTI spreads should continue to gain over the immediate term."
