APAC Chart Pack: August
Introduction
Middle East chokepoint risk is repricing crude, diesel and freight across APAC. Murban and Oman premiums jumped more than $10/bbl in July as Strait of Hormuz attacks intensified, while Singapore diesel cracks surged close to $70/bbl on refinery outages including Jizan's 400kbd shutdown. TD3c freight printed WS491, equal to $14.5/bbl from Ras Tanura. Watch Murban's Nov 1 OSP shift and China's 2.7mt export quota.
"Murban and Oman premiums traded up more than 10$/bbl higher in July when US-Iran deal soured and more tankers got attacked at the Strait of Hormuz, particularly at the Omani route."
