Americas Chart Pack: June
Introduction
The Iran-US MoU signed on 15 June has started to ease crude prices, but US refined product inventories remain 11,900 mbbl below seasonal norms. Diesel is near minimum workable levels, USGC jet diffs have slid to -30 cpg, and clean USGC tonnage stands at 18 ships against a 90-day average of 14. A potential export ban on refined products is the summer's defining tail risk.
"US total refined product inventories sit approximately 11,900 mbbl below seasonal norms year-on-year, as the US continues to serve as the global 'barrel of last resort.'"
